Wargame Analyst
The Opportunity:
As a defense mission professional, you ask questions others don't. You understand the nuances of complex situations. You use your skills to think bigger and push further, solving complex problems. We're looking for an expert like you to create solutions for missions that keep our nation safe.
As a Wargame Analyst, you will help design, plan, execute, and analyze wargames and tabletop exercises that support DoD and interagency decision-making. You'll work directly with clients on-site to translate complex operational and strategic problem sets into scenario-based analytic events, producing insights that influence real-world planning, readiness, and policy .
In this role, you'll contribute to end-to-end wargame execution by researching scenarios, shaping design concepts, supporting facilitation, capturing data, and producing clear, actionable analytic products. You'll be part of a team advancing the company's long-standing wargaming practice, collaborating closely with senior wargame designers and mission stakeholders to deliver high-impact results.
What You'll Work On:
  • Lead the design, coordination, and execution of wargames and exercises, including scenario research, design documentation, facilitation support, and analytic capture.
  • Produce high-quality materials such as read-ahead documents, injects, player packets, streaming notes, findings, and after-action reports.
  • Synthesize qualitative and quantitative data into clear analytic insights for senior decision-makers.
  • E nga ge directly with clients to understand problem sets, shape objectives, and communicate findings effectively.
  • Support logistics, coordination, and administrative execution for wargames.
  • Maintain strong collaboration across internal teams and contribute to a positive team culture.

You Have:
  • Experience supporting wargames, tabletop exercises ( TTXs ) , or scenario-based analytic events, including note-taking, client management, facilitation support, or data synthesis
  • Experience supporting DoD or interagency stakeholders in operational, strategic, or analytic environments
  • Ability to e nga ge confidently with various stakeholders in fast-paced settings
  • Ability to conduct independent research, develop materials, and contribute to analytic products with clarity and accuracy
  • Ability to manage people, delegate tasks, prioritize effectively, and work both independently and as part of a team
  • Ability to rapidly learn new met hodologies, tools, and processes for wargaming and mission analysis
  • Ability to produce client-ready written products and support end-to-end event documentation
  • Ability to work on-site and comply with clearance requirements
  • Top Secret clearance
  • Bachelor's degree

Nice If You Have:
  • Experience with defense planning, operations, readiness assessment, or multi-agency coordination
  • Experience with the Joint Force
  • Experience in fast-paced, austere, or multinational environments
  • Possession of strong interpersonal and communication skills

Clearance:

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual's particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $86,800.00 to $198,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen's total compensation package for employees. This posting will close within 90 days from the Posting Date.
