Warehouse selectors find and move stock or merchandise to fill orders before the items are prepared for shipping. In this role, you locate and pull products in the warehouse, operate transportation equipment, and may shrink-wrap larger shipments for added protection. Other specific job duties may vary, depending on the company and type of goods you handle. For example, if you work in a warehouse that ships in bulk, you may primarily use forklifts and similar equipment to gather items for shipment, while online retailers may have runners gather specific items for each order. Warehouse selectors are also known as order fillers and stock clerks.
