This position oversees supplier relationships, negotiates pricing and contracts, and ensures timely procurement while maintaining compliance with aerospace/defense industry regulations, import/export control, and company policies. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership, analytical, and negotiation skills with experience in purchasing within aerospace/defense or industrial sectors.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage the purchasing team to ensure efficient procurement operations.
  • Source and procure parts and materials for aerospace/defense programs from domestic and international suppliers.
  • Negotiate pricing, contracts, delivery schedules, and purchasing terms with vendors.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers while evaluating their performance.
  • Monitor suppliers’ inventory status and arrange shipment in timely manner.
  • Collaborate with Sales, Accounting, Logistics, and Warehouse teams to ensure timely product availability and shipment.
  • Analyze purchasing data, market trends, and supplier performance to improve cost efficiency and procurement strategies.
  • Ensure compliance with aerospace/defense industry standards, import/export regulations, and company purchasing policies.
  • Resolve supplier-related issues, including quality concerns, shortages, and delivery delays.
  • Prepare purchasing reports, forecasts, budgets, and management presentations.
  • Identify opportunities for continuous improvement in procurement processes and supply chain efficiency.
  • Support special projects and perform other duties as assigned.


Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree.
  • 5+ years of purchasing or procurement experience, preferably in aerospace/defense industry, including leadership experience such as Assistant Manager.
  • Strong negotiation, vendor management, and contract administration skills.
  • Knowledge of inventory management and supply chain best practices.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
