Description
The Staff Management | SMX team located in Pittsburgh, PA, is currently seeking Packaging/Palletizing candidates to join the production team at Tandem Foods. In this role, you will be responsible for packing, palletizing, and preparing products for shipment in a fast-paced food manufacturing environment. This is an essential position that requires a high level of attention to detail, physical stamina, and the ability to work efficiently while maintaining safety standards.
This position is a full-timeposition, and the shift and pay are as follows:
Monday - Friday
  • 1st / A Shift: 7:00am - 3:30pm ($16.63/hour)
  • 2nd / B Shift: 3:00pm - 11:30pm ($17.63/hour)
  • 3rd / C Shift: 11:00pm - 7:30am ($17.63/hour)
  • Day Shift: 7:00am - 7:30pm ($16.63/hour)
  • Night Shift: 7:00pm - 7:30am ($17.63/hour)

Must have reliable transportation.

Job Responsibilities
  • Prepare and pack orders accurately and efficiently, ensuring items are correctly sorted, labeled, and packaged for shipment.
  • Lift, carry, and stack 10-20 lb boxes, often picking up 2-3 boxes at a time and placing them onto pallets.
  • Properly stack pallets to ensure safe and organized shipping of products.
  • Wrap finished pallets securely for shipment.
  • Perform routine checks to ensure product quality and accuracy.
  • Maintain a fast-paced work environment while meeting production goals and deadlines.
  • Follow all safety guidelines and maintain a clean and organized work area.
  • Stand, bend, and reach throughout the entire shift, performing repetitive motions.

This is an entry level labor position. Requirements are as follows but not limited to:
  • Ability to stand on your feet for the duration of your shift
  • Must have reliable transportation
  • Must be able to read, write and speak English
  • Ability to lift, carry, and stack boxes weighing 10-20 lbs consistently.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet production targets.
  • Physical stamina to stand, bend, and reach for extended periods.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Previous experience in a manufacturing or warehouse setting is a plus.
