Job description

Warehouse Associate

The Warehouse Associate is responsible for picking raw materials, loading machines, and bundling finished goods to support uninterrupted production operations. This role ensures the correct materials are available at the right time, machines are continuously supplied, and finished components are properly secured and staged for outbound movement.

Core Responsibilities as Required:

Material Picking & Staging

  • Pick materials according to released work orders and stage at designated production locations
  • Verify material part numbers, quantities, and dimensions using tape measures
  • Maintain clean and organized staging areas

Machine Loading

  • Load raw materials into assigned machines, verifying correct orientation and positioning
  • Use tape measures to confirm material accuracy
  • Support machine start-up and changeovers

Bundling & Finished Goods Handling

  • Bundle and secure processed components per standard work
  • Verify all parts in each bundle by checking them off on the wall segment sticker as materials come out of the machine to ensure accuracy and completeness
  • Handle all finished goods carefully to avoid damage
  • Coordinate transportation and handling needs with leadership and forklift operations
  • Maintain banding equipment and communicate consumable needs to leadership
  • Alert leadership of any manufacturing non-conformities

General

  • Perform heavy lifting up to 50 lbs (two-person lifts required where applicable)
  • Maintain safe material handling practices throughout all tasks

Does Not Own:

  • Inventory system transactions or adjustments
  • Forklift operation
  • Machine programming
  • Final quality disposition or sign-off
  • Production priorities or sequencing

Required Qualifications:

  • Ability to read part numbers and follow written instructions
  • Basic math and measurement skills
  • Basic computer literacy
  • Physical capability for repetitive and heavy lifting (up to 50 lbs)
  • Attention to detail and commitment to quality handling
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced production environment

Safety Requirements

  • Wear required PPE at all times (Self-provided: Safety toe boots | Company-provided: High-visibility vest, gloves, safety glasses, and hearing protection)
  • Use proper lifting techniques or request assistance for heavy or oversized materials
  • Ensure aisles, picking paths, and staging areas are clear of obstructions, banding, and debris
  • Do not overload tables or create unstable logistic packs
  • Be aware of sharp edges; handle all steel with caution
  • Dispose of scrap materials in a neat, orderly, and timely manner
