Job description

Position Summary
The Warehouse Manager is responsible for the overall leadership, operation, and performance of the warehouse and warehouse team members. This role oversees receiving, fabrication, inventory control, order fulfillment, shipping, transportation, and facility maintenance while ensuring safety, accuracy, efficiency, and customer satisfaction. The Warehouse Manager leads day-to-day warehouse operations, manages multiple shifts, implements process improvements, and maintains compliance with safety and operational standards.
Essential Duties/Responsibilities
The following duties are typical of those performed by employees in this job title; however, employees may perform other related duties, and not all duties listed are necessarily performed by each employee in the job title:
  • Provide direct leadership and supervision across multiple shifts, including assigning work, setting priorities, and ensuring tasks are completed to meet or exceed customer expectations
  • Lead and manage warehouse team members using a hands-on, coaching-oriented management style
  • Oversee fabrication operations, including roll shutters and roof pans, ensuring quality, safety, and productivity
  • Manage receiving, order fulfillment, loading, and shipping processes to ensure accuracy, timeliness, and security of product movement
  • Oversee transportation and delivery coordination to support customer order requirements
  • Ensure inventory accuracy through proper controls, cycle counts, and corrective actions as needed
  • Order, monitor, and control warehouse supplies and materials
  • Maintain facility and equipment, ensuring proper upkeep, repairs, and operational readiness
  • Ensure compliance with OSHA requirements and company safety policies; promote and maintain a safe work environment
  • Participate in budget planning and managing operations within approved expense parameters
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement and implement changes to enhance productivity, efficiency, accuracy, and quality
  • Establish operational goals and performance metrics to monitor warehouse effectiveness
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and positive warehouse environment
Qualifications

Education
  • Minimum of 5 years of supervisory experience in a management or supervisory role.
  • High School diploma or equivalent. College degree is a plus.
Experience/Skills/Abilities Required
  • Ability to organize, plan and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced warehouse environment
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to use these skills to communicate effectively at all organizational levels within the organization
  • Self-directed decision-maker with strong analytical, problem-solving, and business-judgement skills
  • Experience managing multi-shift warehouse operations
  • Hands-on leadership style with ability to coach, mentor, and hold team members accountable. Team approach
  • Customer service focused mindset with attention to accuracy and timeliness
  • Experience in fabrication / manufacturing a plus
  • Experience supporting new operations start-up experience is a plus
Work Environment/Physical Demands
Office, warehouse, truck yard – moderate to loud noise level. This position regularly requires standing; walking; sitting; use hands; reaching with hands and arms; and talking and/or hearing. Occasional lifting and/or moving up to 25 pounds.
