Job Summary:

The Yard & Warehouse Associate plays a critical role in supporting daily branch, yard, and warehouse operations by maintaining a safe, organized, and efficient work environment. This position ensures equipment and materials are properly staged, prepared, and ready for rental, delivery, or customer pickup while supporting technicians, drivers, and customers with yard and warehouse logistics. The ideal candidate is reliable, safety-focused, and willing to learn, comfortable working both indoors and outdoors, with the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe yard, warehouse, and exterior work areas.
  • Load and unload equipment, construction materials, and deliveries safely and efficiently.
  • Inspect, stage, clean, and prepare equipment and orders for customer rentals, deliveries, and pickup.
  • Assist technicians, drivers, customers, and contractors with equipment movement, material handling, and locating/loading materials.
  • Organize and maintain yard and warehouse inventory to ensure materials are properly stored and accessible.
  • Operate forklifts, skid steers, and other light equipment safely and efficiently.
  • Conduct routine visual inspections and report equipment or mechanical issues as needed.
  • Assist with receiving incoming shipments and verifying quantities and product quality.
  • Follow all company safety policies, procedures, and operational standards.
  • Support general branch, yard, and warehouse operations as assigned to ensure efficient workflow.
Qualifications
  • Previous warehouse, yard, or construction material handling experience preferred.

  • Forklift experience preferred (certification is a plus).

  • Ability to lift heavy materials and perform physical labor throughout the shift.

  • Comfortable working outdoors in various weather conditions.

  • Strong attention to safety procedures and workplace organization.

  • Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently or as part of a team.

  • Basic understanding of warehouse operations and inventory handling.

  • Good communication and customer service skills.

  • Ability to follow instructions and complete tasks efficiently.

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
