Job description

As a Customer Service Representative (CSR), you’ll support business customer accounts by handling a high volume of customer walk-ins, inbound calls, emails, and order inquiries. You’ll work closely with a team of peers to resolve order, product, pricing, billing, and delivery issues quickly and accurately.

This role acts as a key customer support liaison between sales, warehouse operations, billing, and customers—ensuring a smooth order experience from start to finish.

Location & Schedule
This is an onsite, day shift, Monday–Friday role in our San Juan (Palmas Cantiño), Puerto Rico office.

Responsibilities:

  • Receive and enter orders from walk in customers. 
  • Handle 50–100+ daily customer interactions (inbound calls, email, EDI, and fax).
  • Process and manage high-volume customer orders with strong accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Investigate and resolve order issues, billing discrepancies, and delivery concerns.
  • Act as a point of contact between customers, sales, warehouse, and billing teams.
  • Expedite orders and ensure timely fulfillment.
  • Build strong relationships with customers and internal stakeholders through high-quality customer service.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to solve problems and meet customer needs.
  • Maintain knowledge of products, systems, and company processes.
  • Support additional customer service and administrative tasks as needed.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • 1+ years of customer service, call center, or account support experience preferred.
  • Bilingual communication skills in Spanish & English are required.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and make autonomous decisions to resolve customer inquiries and escalate when appropriate.
  • Experience with order entry, order processing, or ERP systems is a plus.
  • Strong communication skills (phone, email, and written).
  • Ability to manage high call volume and competing priorities.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Teams, Word, Excel & CoPilot).
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Team player with a willingness to cross-train and support others.
  • Experience with AS400 or similar ERP/order management system preferred.

                  Responsabilidades:

                  • Recibir e ingresar pedidos de clientes sin cita previa.
                  • Maneje una variedad de llamadas entrantes y determine el curso de acción adecuado.
                  • Garantizar un excelente servicio al cliente mediante el procesamiento rápido y preciso de los pedidos.
                  • Comunicarse y coordinarse con otros departamentos para resolver consultas.
                  • Servir de enlace entre los clientes y el departamento de ventas industriales.
                  • Proporcionar información sobre precios y plazos de entrega, y procesar los pedidos.
                  • Establecer y mantener relaciones comerciales con los clientes mediante servicios rápidos y precisos para promover la lealtad del cliente.
                  • Realizar llamadas salientes según sea necesario para mantener a los clientes informados sobre promociones y nuevos productos, e intentar conseguir nuevos pedidos.
                  • Ayudar a los clientes a seleccionar productos según sus necesidades.
                  • Utilizar sistemas informáticos para facilitar la fijación de precios, la disponibilidad de productos y la selección de productos alternativos.
                  • Recibir pedidos y resolver problemas de precios durante las transacciones de los clientes, aplicando las políticas de ventas vigentes.
                  • Trabaja eficazmente en equipo para lograr los objetivos de la empresa e identificar y resolver problemas.
                  • Ayuda a resolver discrepancias y errores en los envíos. Esto incluye obtener comprobantes de entrega del transportista y obtener la documentación interna necesaria.
                  • Presentar solicitudes de crédito si es necesario.
                  • Realizar las tareas de limpieza necesarias para mantener un entorno de trabajo limpio, seguro y organizado.
                  • Puede recomendar mejoras en los procedimientos de oficina.
                  • Desempeñar todas las funciones, tareas y responsabilidades de manera profesional, con actitud y comportamiento positivos.
