Job description

CABVI is seeking a Warehouse Worker I to perform a variety of warehouse tasks including picking and filling orders from stock, staging, loading, and unloading finished and raw materials. This position will utilize scan gun hardware and shipping software to complete tasks, as well as operation of motorized warehouse material handling equipment.

**FOUR/TEN-HOUR DAYS OFFERED**

RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

  • Carefully reads the complete customer generated product pick ticket to identify products needed for selection – noting unit of measure, quantity, special shipping instructions, etc.
  • Accurately and in accordance with documented procedures, selects product from inventory using a scan gun device and completes appropriate paperwork accurately and legibly.
  • Operates FedEx and UPS shipping computers to process shipping product and produce shipping labels.
  • Prepares finished product for shipping by stacking according to customer requirements, applying appropriate labels and shrink wrapping pallets.
  • Loads & unloads trucks and containers by hand, with pallet jacks and/or forklifts.
  • Uses warehouse equipment properly, completes daily logs and notifies warehouse management of any equipment issues.
  • Participates in inventory cycle counts as needed in accordance to company policy to ensure inventory accuracy.
  • Maintains a clean, orderly, efficient and safe warehousing environment.
  • Minimizes damaged product. Repacks and reboxes as necessary.
  • Achieves key performance indictors on daily, weekly and monthly basis.

REQUIREMENTS INCLUDE:

  • High school diploma or GED required. Solid work history that demonstrates reliability. Minimum of one year warehouse experience required.
  • Must have good listening skills and ability to communication well both written and verbally.
  • Strong computer and math skills needed for accuracy in picking orders and maintenance of inventory.
  • Frequently requires the ability to lift, sort & stack cartons weighing up to 50 lbs. and stand for long periods.
  • Must have the ability to climb ladders and work at heights up to 25 feet above the floor.
