Job Summary

Responsible for the timely delivery of produce to pre-determined customers on a specific route. Load and unload truck with pallet jack and hand truck. Interact with all D. Otani Produce, Inc customers in a professional manner and maintain effective communication regarding customer problems and requests.

Primary Responsibilities:

  1. Do pre-trip inspection of the truck
  2. Loading produce into truck by LIFO method (use of pallet jack)
  3. Operate within standard operating procedures (SOPS) and Job Safety (Obey DMV Safety rules)
  4. Clean and maintain truck daily
  5. Other duties as assigned

Knowledge and Skill Requirements:

  1. Basic reading, writing and math skills required
  2. Must have a valid driver's license and a clean abstract
  3. Must be able to drive a truck and be familiar with Oahu's roads
  4. Produce knowledge preferred but not required
  5. Ability to life up to 50 lbs
  6. Must be able to work in cool / refrigerated area, (temperature range from 30 - 50 degrees Fahrenheit)
  7. Must be able to work on Saturdays
  8. Must be able to work Overtime as needed

Working Conditions:

  1. Work involves delivering product to customers at various locations on Oahu
  2. Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs
  3. Possess good hygiene
  4. No jewelry or personal cell phones are allowed while in the warehouse
  5. No food or beverages are allowed in the warehouse

Work Environment

  • Must be able to work in temperature-controlled environments ranging from 30 to 60 degrees Fahrenheit.
  • Must be able to work in all outdoor weather conditions.
  • Must be available to work weekends and overtime as needed.
