Talascend is currently seeking a Warehouse Material Handler for a contract opportunity with our client in Livonia, Michigan.
Overview
The Warehouse Material Handler will transport, load, unload, and organize materials within a warehouse setting, ensuring products are properly stocked and prepared for order fulfillment. The role requires operating industrial trucks and maintaining accurate inventory records.
Responsibilities

  • Load and unload materials onto or from pallets, trays, racks, and shelves, following work orders or verbal instructions.
  • Identify, inspect, and track incoming and outgoing parts for quality, quantity, and accuracy.
  • Supply the build floor with material build kits.
  • Operate an industrial truck.
  • Load materials and install strapping, bracing, or padding to prevent shifting or damage in transit.
  • Clean, organize, remove packing dunnage, and keep work area clean.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • No previous experience required.
  • Understanding of good customer service, reliable attendance, and ability to work overtime.
  • Ability to obtain or qualify for an industrial truck license.
  • Ability to read, count, and communicate inventory data both written and verbal.
  • Ability to follow directions and learn new skills, with attention to detail.
  • Basic computer skills.
