Job description

The Warehouse Material Handler – Furniture plays a crucial role in ensuring the efficient receipt, storage, and shipment of furniture products. This position requires working effectively in a fast-paced warehouse environment while maintaining a strong focus on safety, accuracy, and teamwork. The ideal candidate will be responsible for loading and unloading shipments, preparing orders, and supporting overall warehouse operations to facilitate smooth logistics.

Responsibilities

  • Safely load and unload furniture shipments from trailers and delivery trucks.
  • Coordinate with yard jockeys for trailer movements, dock assignments, and loading schedules.
  • Pick, stage, wrap, and prepare furniture orders for shipment.
  • Inspect incoming and outgoing products for damage and verify shipment accuracy.
  • Organize inventory to maintain efficient warehouse operations.
  • Operate warehouse equipment while adhering to all safety procedures.
  • Assist with general warehouse duties including housekeeping, inventory management, and order fulfillment.
