Company Overview: Gexpro Services is a world-class Supply Chain Services outsource provider, specializing in developing and managing production inventory management programs. Our managed inventory programs are designed to support manufacturing OEMโ€™s with their engineered production material specifications, fulfillment, and quality requirements.

Warehouse Manager Responsibilities: The ideal candidate for this role will possess the ability to supervise a staff of 10 to 30 full-time and temporary employees. This will be include carrying out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws as well as responsibilities such as interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems. In addition, a qualified candidate will be able to perform the following task:

  • Manages inventory to provide more efficient warehouse flow and ensure accurate receiving and order filling processes.
  • Supervises and coordinates the annual physical inventory counting and recording.
  • Manage warehouse personnel and their activity, including recruiting, hiring, terminating, reviewing performance and coaching employees
  • Ensures compliance with DOT and safety legislation and related company policy by ensuring proper training, maintaining warehouse vehicles and equipment, verifying employee driverโ€™s licenses and permits are current and maintained.
  • Implement business strategies set forth by senior management and participate in improving the business by administering and evaluating short- and long-term objectives for warehouse as well as offering potential alternatives to existing methods
  • Assists P&L Manager with development of warehouse budget and routinely analyze and control expenditures to meet budget requirements.
  • Serve as primary contact between warehouse operation and other managers., communicating with customers and company personnel to resolve customer problems and expedite customer deliveries when necessary.
  • Evaluate shipping and delivery via common carriers; perform cost analyses and negotiate pricing for shipping services and common carriers.
  • Evaluate and negotiate pricing for warehouse equipment, maintenance contracts, packing supplies and other warehousing expenses.
  • Complete inbound freight approval and review, as needed.
  • Participate in seminars and training classes to enhance and maintain necessary business knowledge.

Warehouse Manager Requirements: The ideal Warehouse Manager should possess thorough knowledge of warehousing principles, practices and procedures is required. In addition, the ideal Warehouse Manager candidate must possess the following:

  • A minimum of 3 years of progressive warehouse management experience with at least 1 year of supervisory or team leadership experience, however 3-5 years of leadership is desirable.
  • Previous working experience performing the physical demands associated with a warehouse environment, to include standing continuously, lifting up to 75lbs unassisted and repetitive use of hands/manual dexterity.
  • A combination of lean and process flow layout knowledge in warehouses, skills, interpersonal skills, effective communication skills, organization skills, and analytical and problem-solving skills to drive decisions with influence.
  • Knowledge in Lean and Process Flow Layout in warehouses in preferred.
  • Proficient in MS Office applications, especially MS Excel.
  • In addition, a Six-Sigma Certification and proficiency in MS Office applications, especially MS Excel is highly.
