Job description

Warehouse Manager

Job Summary: The Warehouse Manager is responsible for the daily execution of warehouse operations supporting inventory control, material fulfillment, kitting, staging, and manufacturing requirements. This position provides leadership to warehouse personnel, ensuring safe, accurate, and efficient completion of operational activities while maintaining compliance with established procedures, quality standards, and company requirements. The Warehouse Manager manages day-to-day warehouse activities, assigns resources based on operational priorities, maintains inventory accuracy through effective execution of established processes, and partners with the Fulfillment Manager to continuously improve warehouse performance.

Responsibilities and Duties:
  • Lead daily warehouse operations, including material movement, kitting, staging, inventory transactions, and support of manufacturing requirements.
  • Supervise, train, coach, and develop warehouse personnel while promoting accountability, teamwork, safety, and operational excellence.
  • Plan and assign daily labor resources to support production schedules, fulfillment requirements, and departmental priorities.
  • Ensure warehouse activities are completed accurately, efficiently, and in accordance with established procedures, work instructions, quality standards, and company requirements.
  • Execute inventory control processes established by the Fulfillment Manager, including cycle counts, physical inventories, reconciliations, and accurate ERP/MRP transactions.
  • Maintain proper handling, storage, identification, preservation, and traceability of materials, components, and inventory.
  • Manage kitting and staging activities to ensure materials are prepared accurately and available to support production requirements.
  • Maintain warehouse organization, material flow, housekeeping standards, and effective utilization of storage space.
  • Ensure compliance with AS9100, ITAR/EAR, OSHA, safety policies, and company procedures through consistent execution of established requirements.
  • Monitor warehouse performance, communicate operational results and challenges, and provide recommendations for improvement to the Fulfillment Manager.
  • Support implementation of process improvements, system changes, and operational initiatives established by the Fulfillment Manager.
  • Coordinate with Production, Quality, Purchasing, Logistics, and other departments to resolve operational issues affecting workflow and material availability.
  • Manage warehouse equipment and material handling resources, ensuring proper operation, maintenance, and safe usage.
Required Qualifications and Skills:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain management, Operations, Business, Logistics, or a related field preferred; equivalent experience considered.
  • 5+ years of warehouse, inventory, or materials experience with demonstrated leadership responsibility.
  • Experience managing warehouse operations in aerospace, defense, manufacturing, or another regulated environment preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of warehouse operations, inventory control processes, material handling, and ERP/MRP systems.
  • Experience leading teams, assigning workload, and driving accountability in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Working knowledge of AS9100, ITAR/EAR, OSHA, and material traceability requirements preferred.
Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, reach, and move throughout warehouse and production environments for extended periods.
  • Ability to safely operate warehouse equipment, including forklifts and pallet jacks.
  • Ability to work effectively in an active warehouse and manufacturing environment with exposure to material handling activities, moving equipment, varying temperatures, and elevated noise levels associated with daily operations.
