Job description

Job Summary

Ryder is seeking a Logistics Manager to join our team in Etna, OH. The Manager will oversee all activities for efficient account operations, including P&L responsibility, customer satisfaction, compliance, employee relations, and safety. Salary is $75,000-$80,000 per year, depending on experience.

The role requires a flexible schedule, Mondayโ€“Friday 8amโ€“4:30pm. For more information about this role and similar positions, view the video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fDrqrPi-lN4 Essential Functions Manage performance of salaried and hourly employees, resolve performance issues, and ensure compliance with policies. Collaborate with senior management and customers to understand needs and operate the account to meet demands.

Handle payroll, analyze weekly and monthly P&L statements to determine profitability, and provide financial and operational reports. Manage accounts payable, vendor quotes, and customer invoicing. Conduct safety and security meetings, provide safety training, and ensure compliance with safety regulations. Additional Responsibilities Perform other duties as assigned. Must be available to work on a flexible schedule across various shifts.

Skills and Abilities Build and manage effective teams with strong leadership and motivating skills. Excellent verbal and written communication; bilingual English and French optional for Quebec locations. Strong interpersonal, problemโ€solving, analytical, and organizational skills. Prioritize, structure, and schedule tasks to maximize effort and meet deadlines.

Computer literate; proficient with Microsoft Office (Excel & Word). Advanced knowledge of Transportation and/or Warehouse Logistics operations. Advanced knowledge of safety and security requirements.

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED required. Bachelor's degree in Business, Logistics, Supply Chain preferred. At least 3 years of relevant experience in supply chain, logistics, warehouse, or related field. At least 2 years of experience managing and leading direct reports. Excellent knowledge of Transportation and/or Warehouse Logistics operations (advanced). Excellent knowledge of safety and security requirements (advanced).

Compensation and Benefits

Salary : $75,000 โ€“ $80,000 per year (depending on experience) with potential eligibility for annual bonus, commission, or longโ€term incentive plan.
