Location: Louisville, KY - Onsite

Reports To: Warehouse Area Manager 


The Warehouse Team Lead supports the successful execution of daily warehouse operations by coordinating workflow, promoting productivity and quality standards, and serving as a hands-on resource for the team. Working alongside warehouse associates, this role provides operational guidance, training support, and day-to-day problem-solving while helping ensure work is completed safely, accurately, and efficiently.

As a visible member of the operation, the Warehouse Team Lead helps create an inclusive and supportive work environment where associates can communicate effectively and feel connected to the team. Bilingual English/Spanish communication skills are highly valued in this role, as the Team Lead will regularly support, coach, and engage with both English- and Spanish-speaking associates.

In partnership with Area Managers, the Team Lead models reliability, accountability, and consistent attendance while supporting team success through daily engagement, leadership by example, and continuous operational improvement.


Leadership & Team Support

  • Partner with Area Managers to support daily operations, training efforts, and workflow execution
  • Spend the majority of the workday actively participating in warehouse operations while providing guidance, support, and training to team members as needed
  • Lead by example through consistent attendance, punctuality, professionalism, and a strong work ethic
  • Support training and onboarding of new employees
  • Serve as a resource for team members by helping resolve operational questions and workflow challenges
  • Foster a positive, respectful, and safety-focused work environment
  • Actively participate in daily warehouse operations while providing guidance and support to team members
  • Serve as a role model for attendance, teamwork, safety, and adherence to company policies and procedures

Operational Oversight

  • Coordinate daily workflow for the department (including, but not limited to: receiving, picking, packing, and shipping activities)
  • Support workflow execution by helping prioritize work, identify obstacles, and promote accuracy and efficiency
  • Maintain organization and cleanliness of warehouse areas
  • Assist with cycle counts and inventory accuracy
  • Identify and communicate operational issues or improvement opportunities to management
  • Demonstrate flexibility and adaptability in response to changing operational priorities and business needs

Safety & Compliance

  • Model and promote adherence to company safety standards and procedures
  • Ensure safe operation of warehouse equipment
  • Identify and report safety hazards or concerns promptly
  • Maintain compliance with company policies and operational procedures

Communication

  • Maintain clear and effective communication with warehouse staff and management
  • Use bilingual English/Spanish communication skills to help support, guide, and engage both English- and Spanish-speaking team members
  • Help ensure operational instructions, training, and day-to-day expectations are clearly understood across the team
  • Escalate operational, quality, or safety concerns to leadership when appropriate
  • Coordinate with other departments when necessary to support efficient operations
  • Communicate professionally while fostering a collaborative and inclusive team environment

Quality Control

  • Verify accuracy to minimize errors and returns
  • Monitor quality checks during processes
  • Address quality concerns promptly and escalate recurring issues to management

Requirements

  • Minimum 2 years of warehouse, logistics, distribution, or fulfillment experience
  • Bilingual English/Spanish communication skills strongly preferred
  • Experience training, mentoring, or supporting coworkers in a warehouse environment preferred
  • Demonstrated history of reliable attendance and strong work performance
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and coordinate workflow
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to solve problems and support day-to-day operational decision-making
  • Basic computer skills required
  • Ability to work scheduled shifts consistently and support operational needs during peak periods
  • Ability to lift up to 20 pounds regularly
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, and move for extended periods
  • Ability to work in a warehouse environment with varying temperatures and conditions
