Come join our great team at Scandinavian Design - Dania Furniture DC as an Inventory Control Associate!
Location: 600 Francisco Blvd. W. San Rafael
Job Type: Full time, Hourly/non-exempt
Shift: 9AM - 5:30PM
Wage: Starting at $25/hour with room to grow!
What You'll Be Doing
  • Have a sense of urgency of accurate auditing and redistribution of goods including and not limited to:
    • Conduct manual inventory audits.
    • Inspect incoming shipments.
    • Count stocks manually and with accuracy.
    • Facilitate transfer of product within the facility as well as outbound.
  • Operate equipment including reach truck, stock picker and walkie rider.
  • Search for product within the facility by use of equipment and or walking.
  • Achieve productivity goals while ensuring accuracy and integrity of the data collected.
  • May unload/load containers and delivery trucks by hand, with forklifts and other machinery while verifying shipping and receiving paperwork.
  • Confirm products are in the correct racks and locations in the Distribution Center while inspecting and checking merchandise for quality.
  • Report any product damage and work with the IC Manager on any accidents or issues with the product in the DC or on delivery floor.
  • Utilize the computer system to look up inventory information.
  • Keep the distribution center, tools, and furniture clean and support teammates in the DC.
  • Learn product information and keep an eye out for damage or defects.
  • Perform other duties or special projects when assigned.
Who You Are
  • Use a hand truck, understand assemblies, and correctly operate small power tools.
  • Able to lift 75 lbs., unassisted, moving furniture in distribution center and warehouse.
  • A willingness to obtain equipment certification is required at some of our facilities.
  • Capable of successfully completing our pre-employment background, physical, and drug screening and be subject to random and post-accident drug screening.
  • Prolong standing, walking, pushing, pulling, bending, and stooping.
  • Exposure to noise.
  • Exposure to moving machinery/Forklift/Pallet lift.
  • Communication, organizational and time management skills.
  • Schedule includes weekends, some evenings, holiday work, inventory, retail “black-out” periods and other busy times.
