Position Summary

This position is primarily responsible for maintaining accurate, real-time records of all company inventory. The Inventory Control Specialist ensures inventory visibility, accuracy, and traceability across all locations, supporting manufacturing, logistics, and operations by monitoring stock levels, movements, and physical counts. The role focuses on data integrity, process discipline, and continuous improvement of inventory control practices.
Essential Functions
  • Maintain accurate inventory records for raw materials, components, work-in-process, and finished goods.
  • Monitor inventory levels and movement using computerized inventory control systems.
  • Perform regular cycle counts and coordinate periodic physical inventory audits.
  • Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies, variances, and adjustments.
  • Ensure inventory transactions are properly recorded, including receipts, transfers, issues, and returns.
  • Coordinate with manufacturing, logistics, and warehouse personnel to ensure inventory accuracy and traceability.
  • Maintain location control and proper identification of inventory items.
  • Generate inventory reports for management as requested.
  • Support continuous improvement of inventory control processes and procedures.
  • Ensure inventory practices comply with Headworks' ISO, quality, and safety standards.
  • Assist with setup and maintenance of inventory items and system parameters.
  • Support shipping and receiving activities as needed to verify inventory accuracy.
  • Maintain organized and accurate inventory storage areas.
  • Adapt to changing schedules and operational priorities as required.

Requirements
  • Strong computer skills, including Excel and inventory management systems.
  • High attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
  • Ability to analyze data and identify discrepancies or trends.
  • Working knowledge of manufacturing or warehouse environments.
  • Technical experience with accounting, MRP software preferred
  • Solid written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively across departments.

Education & Experience
  • High school diploma or equivalent minimum. Associate's degree or higher preferred.
  • 3+ years of experience in inventory control, warehouse operations, or manufacturing support.
