Job description

Key Responsibilities Rotate and replenish current stock in its designated location in order to maintain FIFO (first in first out) inventory system Correctly select, palletize, shrink wrap and stage (per truck) customer orders preparing them for delivery Safely load trucks/ trailers in and even and productive fashion Use a hand held scanner (RF Gun) and operate a photocopier to perform daily administration associated with order selection and delivery Perform pre- and post-shift inspection on forklifts, electric rider jacks, electric pallets jacks and pallet wrap machines and maintain the highest possible safety standards Maintain cleanliness of entire warehouse and practice safe food handling procedures by learning and practicing IFS (International Food Safety) and AIB (American Institute of Baking) standards for warehouse sanitation Participate in and interact with committees such as Health and Safety/ Food Safety committee Report inventory discrepancies and damaged stock to the lead hand/ inventory control clerk and perform inventory counts whenever required Perform other job related duties as assigned from time to time Specific Functional/Technical Knowledge and Skills Minimum 1 year warehousing, selecting/picking, and shipping experience in food distribution environments Must have the ability to become fork lift certified in the use of material handling equipment and pass forklift certification course Completed High School or GED Equivalent
