Description
PRIMARY OBJECTIVE OF POSITION:
To maintain the quality and accuracy of the inventory within the Distribution Center..
MAJOR AREAS OF ACCOUNTABILITY:
  • Inspects products in locations, ensuring that amount is correct and the items are labeled correctly.

  • Researches inventory discrepancies using the warehouse management system(s).

  • Performs daily audits to ensure accuracy of received quantities.

  • Completes all slotting requirements for incoming new items.

  • Reviews products with questions on a daily basis and follows up with solutions.

  • Runs assigned reports on a daily basis to find potential errors such as inner pack quantity errors, missing weight or dimensions, and locked cases.

  • Documents all errors found during research pertaining to identified Stock Keeping Units (SKUs).

  • Maintains all locations and space utilization within the bulk storage areas.

  • Assists with reserve to active/active to reserve location modifications, as needed.

  • Completes all required paperwork in an accurate and timely manner.

  • Maintains work areas in a neat and orderly fashion.

  • Works safely and complies with all established safety rules and practices.

  • Follows standard operating procedures when performing job.

  • Keeps supervisor informed of important developments, potential problems and related information necessary for effective management. Coordinates and communicates plans and activities with others, as appropriate to ensure a coordinated work effort and team approach.

  • Performs related work as apparent or assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required.   • High School education or equivalent.
  • At least 1 year of related experience in a distribution center environment.
  • Ability to work a varied schedule based upon business needs.
  • Ability to accurately read and match numbers.
  • At least 6 months experience with AS400 or similar system.
  • At least 6 months data entry experience.

  • Ability to understand and follow verbal and written directions and communicate to personnel at all levels.
  • Ability to maintain a positive attitude and work in a manner that promotes a safe working environment.
  • Ability to contribute to the team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
  • Ability to obtain equipment license or power equipment certification as required.
  • Demonstrates Northern Tool + Equipment's 12 Core Competencies.
