American Home Contractors is hiring! We are a leader in the exterior remodeling and solar roofing industry, and a proud TESLA Solar Roof Installer. We're seeking a reliable, organized, and hands-on Warehouse Associate to support warehouse operations from our Columbia, MD (21046) location.
This role plays a key part in ensuring materials are where they need to be on time, every time, supporting crews across the Mid-Atlantic. The ideal candidate is organized, detail oriented, a clear communicator, and confident operating box trucks and forklifts. Strong inventory management experience, computer proficiency, and the ability to accurately track materials are essential for success in this role.

Key Responsibilities
  • ย Manage day-to-day warehouse operations including receiving, staging, inventory control, and dispatch.ย 
  • ย Oversee loading and material preparation for roofing, siding, solar, gutter, window, and door projects.ย 
  • ย Drive a company box truck to job sites throughout MD, VA, DC, PA, WV, DE, and NJ.ย 
  • ย Maintain accurate inventory through routine cycle counts and daily transactions using an inventory management or ERP system.ย 
  • ย Perform inventory audits and investigate inventory discrepancies to maintain accurate stock levels.ย 
  • ย Enter and maintain inventory records with a high degree of accuracy.ย 
  • ย Utilize Microsoft Excel to track inventory, analyze stock levels, and maintain warehouse reports using basic formulas and spreadsheets.ย 
  • ย Operate forklifts and other warehouse equipment safely (certification preferred).ย 
  • ย Ensure all materials are delivered accurately and on schedule.ย 
  • ย Communicate with project managers, installers, purchasing, and vendors to coordinate material needs.ย 
  • ย Keep the warehouse clean, organized, and compliant with safety regulations.ย 
  • ย Handle returns, damaged materials, and backordered materials.ย 
  • ย Maintain company tools, vehicles, and warehouse equipment.ย 
Must-Have Qualifications
  • ย Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.ย 
  • ย Experience driving a non-CDL box truck.ย 
  • ย Forklift experience (certification is a plus).ย 
  • ย Possess or be able to obtain a valid DOT Medical Card (required for box truck operation).ย 
  • Experience using inventory management software, warehouse management systems (WMS), or ERP systems to track inventory and materials.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, including sorting, filtering, creating spreadsheets, and using basic formulas such as SUM, COUNT, and IF functions.
  • ย Strong attention to detail with experience performing inventory counts, cycle counts, and inventory reconciliation.ย 
  • ย Strong time management and organizational skills.ย 
  • ย Excellent communication skills with team members, vendors, and field crews.ย 
  • ย Physically able to lift 75+ pounds and perform warehouse labor.ย 
  • ย Must pass a drug screen and background check.ย 
Preferred Qualifications
  • ย Prior warehouse or logistics experience in a construction or trade environment.ย 
  • ย Familiarity with roofing, siding, window, gutter, and solar materials.ย 
  • ย Experience with ERP systems such as NetSuite, SAP, Microsoft Dynamics, Oracle, or similar inventory software.ย 
  • ย Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus but not required.ย 
  • ย Experience supporting multiple field crews or regional operations.ย
