Description:
  • Demonstrate and promote Geigerโ€™s core values.
  • Organize and lead physical inventory on schedule to verify actual against recorded inventory levels, adjusting as needed.
  • Prepare documentation for physical inventory and reconciliation of inventory counts
  • Handle inventory discrepancies and coordinate write-offs with controller as needed.
  • Ensure accurate end-of-the month inventory reporting including slowing moving inventory and turns reporting.
  • Support reorder report process to assure accurate, timely purchasing
  • Maintain updated pricing in ERP system.
  • Support accurate part number creation in ERP and correction/Housekeeping of part numbers
  • Evaluate and maintain inventory stock levels per policy.
  • Support warehouse team in maintaining organized inventory area, coordinated with ERP locations
  • Approve all returns to inventory per policy and support return process as needed
  • Identify gaps in inventory policy and procedures and work to implement new policies developed with management
  • May perform other duties as assigned.


Requirements:
  • High school diploma, GED equivalent.
  • Minimum of three years of related experience in purchasing or inventory management.
  • Understanding of business processes including order entry, back orders and vendor delays.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to use computer programs including basic Microsoft Office
  • Negotiation experience a plus.
  • Problem solving & troubleshooting skills.
  • Clear verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to follow verbal instructions and use simple math.
  • Ability to perform active tasks including reaching, bending, and lifting up to 20 lbs
  • Ability to travel to other regional sites within 75 miles of home office
  • Current drivers license in good standing
