Position Summary

Sierra Staffing Group is seeking an experienced Inventory Control Specialist to support warehouse operations and maintain accurate inventory levels. This position will be responsible for cycle counting, inventory reconciliation, material staging, and tracking inventory through a Warehouse Management System (WMS). The ideal candidate will have strong attention to detail, experience working in a fast-paced warehouse or manufacturing environment, and the ability to identify and resolve inventory discrepancies.


Responsibilities

  • Perform daily, weekly, and scheduled cycle counts to maintain accurate inventory records.
  • Investigate inventory discrepancies and make appropriate system adjustments in accordance with company procedures.
  • Utilize WMS and inventory management systems to receive, move, locate, stage, and track materials throughout the facility.
  • Stage materials and finished goods for production, shipping, receiving, or outbound orders.
  • Verify part numbers, quantities, locations, and inventory status during material movements.
  • Monitor inventory levels and identify shortages, overages, damaged materials, and potential discrepancies.
  • Perform physical inventory audits and reconcile system quantities against actual on-hand inventory.
  • Maintain accurate inventory locations and ensure materials are properly labeled and organized.
  • Coordinate with warehouse, production, shipping, and receiving teams to ensure timely movement of materials.
  • Research inventory transactions and identify the root cause of discrepancies.
  • Enter and maintain accurate inventory information within the WMS and other applicable systems.
  • Assist with receiving, put-away, picking, staging, and material handling activities as needed.
  • Follow established safety procedures and maintain a clean and organized work environment.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives focused on inventory accuracy, warehouse efficiency, and material flow.


Qualifications

  • 2+ years of inventory control, warehouse, logistics, or materials management experience preferred.
