Job Summary:

The ICQA Specialist is responsible for maintaining inventory accuracy and quality assurance at the local level.  Areas of special emphasis include process and inventory audits, identification of quality errors, researching and resolving inventory overages and/or shortages, and PO receipt quantity reconciliation. Work as a liaison between Operations and Quality departments.

We are seeking a talented Inventory Control Specialist to join our team. The Inventory Control Specialist is responsible for the following:

Responsibilities:

Process Audits:

  • Auditing the cycle count process to ensure accuracy of comparing the Supply Technologies operating system (Supply Tech OS) on-hand quantity with what is physically present.
  • Ensure adherence to work processes of the warehouse personnel through audits of standard work instructions and layered process audits.

Cycle Count:

  • Ensure compliance with the corporate goal of achieving the minimum of 8%-10% total warehouse locations each month, for a total of 25% minimum each quarter. - 100% of all warehouse locations must be counted by December 15th of each calendar year.

Inventory Audits:

  • Researching discrepancies identified during warehouse processes, to determine the cause and resolve through review of past transactions and warehouse records.
  • Reviewing reports to identify problems requiring further research and determination of the source of discrepancies.
  • Work with the appropriate warehouse personnel to address discrepancies once the cause has been identified, so the necessary transactions can be made in the system to ensure the Supply Tech OS and physical product matches.

Quality Errors:

  • Maintain detailed information for the tracking of errors / deviations to the established work processes that are identified during the process and inventory audits.
  • Review quality errors to determine if there are trends that need to be addressed by management.
  • Generate reports to advise management on the details of the quality errors, to ensure that resolution is achieved.

Store Tasks and Audit 2 Reports (RIMS Only):

  • Monitor the Store Tasks and Audit 2 Reports to confirm progress is made and ensure that the target levels are not exceeded. 
  • If resolutions are not achieved in a timely manner, advise the appropriate personnel so that it can be addressed and resolved. Assist in resolution as time permits.

Maintenance Tasks:

  • Maintain records of tasks completed to ensure inventory accuracy and provide management with an accurate representation of all parts received and shipped out. 
  • Accurately maintain the Supply Tech OS for all inbound and outbound shipments, as well as adjustments made to resolve discrepancies.

Multi-Site/ Regional 

  • Primary responsibilities at a defined branch location.

Qualifications:

  •  High school degree / GED.
  • Valid Driver’s License, with a clean record.
  • 5% Travel
  • Experience in a warehouse distribution environment; experience in fastener industry is strongly preferred.

  • Experience operating a forklift, order picker and reach truck.

  • Ability to maintain a high level of physicality for prolonged periods and working primarily on your feet.

  • Ability to utilize Microsoft Office 365 and other company spreadsheet programs is required.

  • Experience working in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
