Job description

Inventory Control Specialist
Overall Goal of Position:
This position is responsible for supporting the Supply Chain and Warehouse operations with inventory control/counts, freight receiving, and other general warehouse functions.
MONDAY - FRIDAY 7:30 am - 4:00 pm
Starting Wage: $19.75 - $22.25
Job Functions
The Inventory Control Specialist is an integral part of the warehouse operations team managing details of Incoming (raw good/packaging) and outgoing (finished goods) inventory ensuring that product on hold, aging inventory, and allocated inventory is reviewed for accuracy continually. Develops and maintains processes and procedures to ensure accurate and productive work activities for this area. Communicates with Supply Chain, Sales, Customer Service and Operations to ensure that inventory is ready for distribution. Position reports to the Supply Chain Manager.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
  • General Operations
  • Perform all duties safely, follow all safety guidelines, and proactively participate in site safety programs.
  • Follow the daily cycle count and category review calendar.
  • Research all inventory-related discrepancies and make appropriate adjustments in the inventory system.
  • Review shipping and receiving documents for accuracy.
  • Bring to the attention of the department managers immediately any large discrepancies.
  • Perform de-kitting and inventory returns from production lines
  • Audit incoming and outgoing trucks randomly.
  • Lead the Year end physical inventory process.
  • Maintain database and report on all cycle count matrix results
  • Follow-up to ensure that all changes are implemented in the system regarding BOM changes and other changes related to inventory
  • Implement new processes and procedures to improve inventory accuracy and changes to the flow and movement of inventory.

    • Highschool Diploma required (minimum), associate degree or program certificate preferred, 3-5 years related experience, or combination of education and experience
    • Forklift experience desired
    • Experience with PeopleSoft (or other ERP system) is a plus
    • Bilingual English/Spanish helpful but not required
