Job description

The primary role for the material handler is to physically and electronically receive, track, store and maintain the inventory of products that come into or go out of our business, ensuring accurate counts while distributing to the necessary area. The secondary role of this position is to complete other tasks as requested by the department they serve. The successful candidate should have a strong eye for detail, be good with numbers, and able to multitask. Additionally, this individual should have the ability to efficiently resolve any problems or discrepancies that arise during the material movement processes.

Job Responsibilities
  • Receive FedEx, UPS, and all in-bound shipments for Geoprobe® into Epicor
  • Ensure no damaged items are sent or received
  • Compare packing lists to company purchase orders and ensure that products in each delivery match the packing list
  • Safely store and properly record location of products
  • Package products for return to vendors and complete necessary paperwork
  • Remove and dispose of obsolete parts
  • Participate in cycle counts and share responsibility to have accurate inventory
  • Pick PTR’s (part transfer requests) for other areas of the company
  • Pick parts accurately for production area work orders
