Job description

General Laborer: Rock Falls, Illinois

Our customer in Rock Falls, Illinois is seeking motivated individuals to join their team. Weโ€™re recruiting General Laborers to work full-time on 1st shift. As a General Laborer, you will perform a variety of warehouse and production tasks to ensure smooth operations, maintain safety standards, and support the timely movement of materials.

Responsibilities of the General Laborer:
  • Work safely at all times.
  • Load and unload supplier and customer trucks professionally.
  • Pull and fill customer orders for shipment.
  • Sort and store products received in the warehouse.
  • Inspect incoming loads to ensure all products are accounted for and reject damaged goods.
  • Control inventory to prevent damage or loss of materials.
  • Maintain the warehouse in a neat and organized fashion.
  • Assemble freight shipments and UPS orders, including processing paperwork.
  • Maintain property, including mowing, spraying weeds, and general building cleanliness.
  • Check products pulled before loading trucks to ensure order accuracy.
  • Respond diligently to orders from supervisors.
  • Serve as backup for warehouse supervisor regarding incoming and outgoing loads.
  • Answer phones as needed.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the warehouse supervisor or manager.
General Laborer Requirements and Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • 1โ€“3 years of experience in warehouse processing or equivalent role required.
  • Welding and metal fabrication experience (welding, torch use, painting) not required but a plus.
  • Ability to lift and handle materials safely.
  • Ability to operate machinery, including overhead cranes, skid loaders, forklifts, and trucks.
  • Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and teamwork.

Pay for General Laborer: $20โ€“$23/hour.
