Warehouse Inspector – 77066
Job Summary
The Warehouse Inspector is responsible for inspecting inbound and outbound freight to ensure accuracy, condition, and compliance with shipping documentation. This role plays a critical part in preventing loss, identifying damage, and maintaining accurate records throughout the freight forwarding process.
Key Responsibilities
  • Inspect inbound and outbound freight for quantity, condition, and packaging integrity
  • Identify, document, and report damaged, missing, or discrepant freight
  • Take clear photographs of damaged freight and properly document findings
  • Use RF scanners to scan, track, and update freight movement within the warehouse management system
  • Verify freight against Bills of Lading (BOLs), master lists, packing slips, and other shipping documents
  • Ensure freight matches shipment documentation, including piece count, weight, and markings
  • Accurately record inspection results and discrepancies in company systems
  • Communicate issues promptly to warehouse supervisors, operations, or customer service teams
  • Follow all warehouse safety procedures and company policies
  • Maintain a clean, organized inspection area
  • Assist with additional warehouse duties as needed
