Job Description
Job DescriptionTrigyn's direct client has a contract to hire assignment for Data / Systems Analyst in Syracuse, NY or Charlotte, NC.
This is a temp to hire position the consultant must be able to convert to our client as an employee.
Key responsibilities:
• Tasks include data gathering and analysis; systems design and implementation; logical design; detailed design; ensuring data security in the design; and system evaluation, integration, vetting, modification, troubleshooting, and optimization.
• Helps with technical testing, ensuring that the system and unit tests were performed and reviews the test results.
• Netezza script writing, and error handling
• Provides technical support for existing Data Warehouse ETL processes
• Assures quality of design and implementation of projects.• Defining tables and procedures in Netezza and migrating tables from Oracle and DB2
• Define data quality plans to address data quality issues; work with business partners to build business understanding of data issues
Qualifications
Must Have Skills:
• Strong Netezza knowledge
• Experience on Zone Mapping technique in Netezza
• Strong relational database background (Oracle, SQL Server, DB2).
• Strong background with scripting and error handling in Netezza environment.
Other Skills Needed:
• 6-8 year's general IT experience
• 3+ years Systems Analysis experience
• Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university or equivalent work experience.
• Experience in the financial services industry.
• Fully familiar with Incident/SR management
• Familiar with Customer databases Analysis and Support
• Knowledge of the theory and practice of systems analysis, systems design, and systems implementation. • Extensive experience in the business processes surrounding Data Warehouse
• Monitors current DW applications and develops procedures, where necessary, to improve the DW environment as required.
• Complies with all security and audit standards
