Job Title: Harvest Helper
Location: Montreal - On-site
Type of contract: Seasonal, Full-time (40h/week)
Contract dates: August 24 to September 18, 2026
Starting Salary: 20.67$/hour

About the role

As a Harvest Helper, you'll work alongside our Urban Beekeepers during the honey harvest season, helping collect and transport honey boxes from beehives located across the city.

This is a hands-on, physical role that involves working at client sites and in our warehouse. You'll support our beekeepers throughout their harvest routes and help ensure harvested honey boxes are safely transported and prepared for shipment to our centralized extraction facility.

What you'll do as a Harvest Helper:
  • Accompany Urban Beekeepers to harvest honey boxes from client beehives located on rooftops and/or ground-level sites.
  • Assist beekeepers with the physical tasks involved in honey harvesting.
  • Support client communications and help ensure positive and professional interactions while on client sites.
  • Help load and unload honey boxes from vehicles and move them onto pallets in the warehouse.
  • Assist with the transportation and organization of honey boxes between client sites and the warehouse.
  • Assist with shipping logistics to transport honey boxes to our centralized extraction facility.
  • Help maintain a clean and organized work environment throughout harvest activities.
  • Work closely with Urban Beekeepers and other team members to keep harvest days organized and running smoothly.
What we are looking for:

Essential

  • Valid driver's license for more than 3 years and in good standing.
  • Previous experience in a physical or hands-on role.
  • Able to safely lift and carry up to 40 lbs.
  • Comfortable working in hot weather and physically demanding conditions.
  • Comfortable working around bees.

A propos du poste

En tant qu'assistante a la recolte de miel, tu travailleras aux cotes de nos apiculteurs urbains pendant la saison de recolte du miel. Tu les aideras a recolter et a transporter les hausses de miel provenant de ruches situees un peu partout dans la ville.

Il s'agit d'un poste physique et pratique, qui implique de travailler a la fois chez nos clients et dans notre entrepot. Tu accompagneras nos apiculteurs tout au long de leurs tournees de recolte et contribueras a assurer que les hausses recoltees soient transportees de facon securitaire et preparees pour leur expedition vers notre centre d'extraction.

Tes responsabilites en tant qu'assistante a la recolte de miel :
  • Accompagner les apiculteurs urbains pour recolter les hausses de miel des ruches situees chez nos clients, sur les toits ou au niveau du sol.
  • Aider les apiculteurs dans les taches physiques liees a la recolte du miel.
  • Soutenir les communications avec les clients et contribuer a maintenir des interactions positives et professionnelles lors des visites.
  • Aider a charger et decharger les hausses de miel des vehicules et a les placer sur des palettes dans l'entrepot.
  • Participer au transport et a l'organisation des hausses de miel entre les sites des clients et l'entrepot.
  • Participer a la logistique d'expedition des hausses de miel vers notre centre d'extraction.
  • Contribuer a maintenir un environnement de travail propre et organise tout au long des activites de recolte.
  • Travailler en etroite collaboration avec les apiculteurs urbains et les autres membres de l'equipe afin que les journees de recolte soient bien organisees et se deroulent efficacement.

Exigences essentielles

  • Permis de conduire valide depuis plus de 3 ans et dossier de conduite en regle.
  • Experience prealable dans un poste physique ou manuel.
  • Capacite a soulever et transporter de facon securitaire des charges allant jusqu'a 40 lb.
  • A l'aise de travailler par temps chaud et dans des conditions physiquement exigeantes.
