Job description

COMPENSATION: $20.75 - $24.00/hour DOE

SHIFT: Day (10:00am - 6:30pm)

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Partner closely with the warehouse team to ensure warehouse activities are effectively executed.
  • Monitor dock activities, specifically, the physical warehouse activities and transactions to ensure accuracy.
  • Performs picking product for shipment.
  • Creates STOs (Stock Transfer Orders) to move products between warehouse locations.
  • Create and coordinate product put away activities.
  • Create and coordinate replenishment tasks to ensure adequate stock in pick faces.
  • Inventory control, assign, and complete inventory control tasks.
  • Support inventory control activities to include identifying, investigating, and resolving inventory discrepancies resulting from the use of exception codes.
  • Adhere to the Ruiz code of ethics and values.
  • Work together professionally in a team environment with coworkers and other department personnel.
  • Operate a forklift as required.
  • Responsible for the majority of the housekeeping needed to maintain a clean warehouse that can be pass USDA standards.
  • Assist the Shipping Specialist with daily tasks i.e., delivering the pick list and, breaking down any deliveries so they can be properly be stored.
  • Receive product from the ops line and ensure the product makes its way into the freezer in a timely manner.
  • Shrink wrap any pallets that need to be wrapped.
  • Must follow Safety policies, USDA, QA, HACCP, and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
  • All other duties, as assigned.

      QUALIFICATIONS:

      • High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
      • Minimum of 1-3 years experience in a warehouse environment. 
      • Must be able to operate sit down and standup forklifts and pass testing provided by the company.
      • Must be able to follow directions and have good communications skills.
      • Basic math skills in order to track and monitor warehouse inventory.
