Job description

Overview
The Warehouse Supervisor supervises the daily warehouse activities including storage, and distribution of shipments and materials within establishments by performing the duties and assumes ownership of all warehouse operations including logistics and production scheduling, training and development of warehouse personnel. Supervisor is responsible for controlling cost, increasing quality, safety, and customer service targets. Must be dedicated to full-service, worldwide moving and storage, for servicing the transportation needs of corporations, governments, and individuals.
Responsibilities
  • Develop knowledge of all shipping rules and regulations with all household and logistic products
  • Ensure that all shipments are processed in a timely matter
  • Responsible for achieving budgeted goals, including profitability, efficiency, and revenue support.
  • Establishes and implements quality assurance processes to ensure correct production of customer selected components.
  • Monitor and manage inventory control procedures and processes including replenishment, cycle counting, inventory substitutions, inventory movements, shipping and receiving to achieve company objectives.
  • Implement programs, systems, processes, initiatives, etc. in an efficient and effective manner.
  • Reduce expenses by assuring proper cost controls are in place and functioning properly.
  • Properly staff and control labor hours based on budget and weekly production schedules.
  • Study and analyze key metrics to establish performance standards, identify opportunities to improve efficiencies, ensure inventory utilization, and identify opportunities to maximize revenue objectives.
  • Oversee the production management system, including utilization of the system, training of associates on use of the system, working with Supervisors to ensure that production plans are generated, implemented, and completed on a daily basis.
  • Oversee the customer records process using Mover.
  • Assure all assets are secured, maintained, and handled appropriately to minimize product damage, property loss, and work related injuries.

Qualifications
  • Strong work ethic
  • Strong people-to-people skills
  • The ability to effectively communicate with the staff and have good written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong computer skills (Microsoft Office Suite, Windows, etc.)
  • Prior experience in a supervisor role with a multi-location warehouse facility (100k+ sq. ft.)
  • Quality control and/or inventory management experience/certifications.
  • Flexible with hours and work shifts.
  • Bi-lingual candidate a plus.
  • A minimum of five years' supervisory experience in a warehouse environment
  • The ability to direct subordinates to complete assignments using established guidelines, procedures and policies
  • Strong organizational and analytical skills
  • The ability to work independently within general guidelines
  • The ability to maintain a safe work environment
  • A positive, energetic, hands-on, on-the-floor personality
  • Attention to detail in a fast paced environment
