Forklift Operator - Harpoon Brewery (Windsor, VT)
Barrel One Collective (B1C), the parent company of Harpoon is seeking a reliable and safety-focused Forklift Operator to join our Production team. This role is ideal for an experienced operator who is committed to accuracy, efficiency, and maintaining a safe working environment. The Forklift Operator plays a key role in supporting production, inventory accuracy, and warehouse flow.
About the Role
The Forklift Operator is responsible for safely operating a variety of forklifts and material-handling equipment to move raw materials, finished goods, and packaging supplies throughout the facility. This role requires strong attention to detail, the ability to work in a fast-paced environment, and a commitment to proper documentation and safe operating procedures.
Key Responsibilities
  • Safely and efficiently operate forklifts and other material-handling equipment
  • Perform daily equipment inspections and report maintenance issues promptly
  • Accurately complete required logs, including lift sign-out documentation
  • Maintain control of all loads and operate equipment with full awareness of surroundings
  • Supply packaging lines with raw materials and ensure proper tagging and wrapping of pallets
  • Move, stage, and store product in an organized and coordinated manner
  • Accurately report production counts and close out raw material usages within the ERP system
  • Receive raw materials into the inventory management system with precision and timeliness
  • Assist with packaging line changeovers and machine operations when needed
  • Support cross-departmental tasks and foster a positive, communicative work environment

Required Experience and Skills
  • Minimum of 1 year of forklift operating experience
  • OSHA-approved forklift certification
  • Valid VT driver's license
  • Strong attention to detail, organization, and situational awareness
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced production and warehouse environment
  • Effective communication skills and ability to collaborate with multiple departments
  • Proper use and understanding of PPE
