Job description

Abbott Interfast, a leading and innovative fastener manufacturer and supplier, is seeking a friendly and reliable Warehouse Associate to join our team in Wheeling, Illinois. The Warehouse Associate will be responsible for maintaining a clean and organized warehouse, as well as ensuring that orders are accurately picked, packed, and shipped according to customer specifications. Our 100,000 sq. ft. facility services primarily the North American Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEM) market, but we also have customers throughout the USA and globally. As an ISO certified and ITAR registered company, we take great pride in providing our customers with high-quality products manufactured using a variety of methods, such as automatic screw machine, CNC, cold heading, plastic molding, and stampings.
Responsibilities
  • Load and unload trucks using forklift or hand truck
  • Maintain inventory by identifying, labeling, and placing materials and supplies in stock
  • Pick and pack parts following customer specifications and print labels
  • Move materials between storage areas manually and with forklift or hand truck
  • Operate warehouse equipment in a safe and efficient manner
  • Keep warehouse clean and organized, including sweeping and removing debris
  • Adhere to safety rules and regulations, including proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE)

Requirements
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
  • Good communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Attention to detail and ability to work with a high degree of accuracy
  • Forklift certification is a plus
  • Experience with UPS Worldship and FedEx small packaging is a plus
  • Experience in a warehouse or distribution environment preferred
  • Ability to stand for prolonged periods of time and work in various temperatures and conditions
  • Must be a United States citizen
  • Hourly Pay: $20 to $24 per hour
