Description

PRIMARY PURPOSE 

As a Warehouse Supervisor, your primary purpose is to provide leadership and guidance to ensure the efficient and productive operation of our warehouse facility. You will oversee daily activities, optimize workflows, and drive performance to achieve operational goals, timely order fulfillment, and maintain quality and safety standards. Inspiring and motivating the team, fostering a positive work culture, and implementing continuous improvements are key aspects of your role to ensure seamless warehouse operations and exceptional results. 


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES 

  • Assist and support the warehouse manager in supervising warehouse workers, including delegating tasks, and monitoring performance.
  • Continuously assess and appraise worker performance to ensure productivity and adherence to standards.
  • Organize and prioritize daily tasks and assignments, ensuring smooth workflow and efficient use of resources to meet production goals and deadlines.
  • Train new team members on warehouse procedures, equipment operation, and safety protocols. Continuously provide coaching and support to enhance the skills and performance of the team.
  • Promote a safe working environment by enforcing safety guidelines, conducting regular safety inspections, and addressing any potential hazards or incidents promptly.
  • Ensures adherence to all company, safety, sanitation and GMP policies.
  • Oversee the receiving, storage, and distribution of goods, ensuring accurate tracking, labeling, and proper storage techniques. 
  • Monitor and enforce quality control standards to ensure accurate inventory management, proper handling of goods, and adherence to safety protocols.
  • Assist inventory management processes, including cycle counts, stock replenishment, and inventory accuracy. Ensure proper handling, storage, and rotation of products to minimize losses and maintain accurate stock levels.
  • Foster collaborative decision-making by actively engaging team members in finding solutions together.
  • Collaborate with the Manager to ensure the warehouse remains clean and organized by consistently maintaining a tidy workspace.
  •  Other duties as assigned 

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

Qualified candidates will generally have the following education, knowledge, skills and abilities:

  • Highschool diploma or equivalent education.
  • Must be 18 years of age.
  • Proven experience in a warehouse or logistics role, with a minimum of 2-3 years of relevant experience.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills, with at least 1 year of experience in a supervisory or team lead capacity.
  • Strong knowledge of warehouse operations, including receiving, inventory management, order fulfillment, and shipping processes.
  • Familiar with warehouse equipment and machinery, such as forklifts, and pallet jacks.
  • Proficiency in using warehouse management systems or similar software for inventory control and tracking.
  • Excellent organizational skills and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong self-starter mentality and possess critical thinking skills and problem-solving skills.
  • Demonstrate flexibility and a readiness to adapt to changes as needed.
  • Solid understanding of food safety, food service regulations, health regulations and proper sanitation practices.
  • Maintains a neat and clean appearance in accordance with company standards and expectations.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate and communicate effectively with team members, management, and other departments.
  • Good interpersonal relationships and ability to work effectively with a team. Works well in a group, actively participating, and contributing constructively.
  • Good mathematical, multitasking, and computer skills.
  • Ability to comprehend and follow all company procedures and regulations regarding food handling and sanitation.
  • Ability to work with flexibility in a continuous schedule of day, nights, holidays, and weekends.

Physical Requirements
This job involves physical effort, including lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, reaching, typing, and manipulating objects. Tasks may require handling weights from under 1 lb. to over 60 lbs., with heavier lifting occurring less frequently.
Work is performed while sitting, standing, walking, stooping, and bending.


Mental Requirements
This role requires continuous mental and visual attention to monitor production and identify defects.


Working Conditions
Employees may be exposed to dust, dirt, heat, cold, fumes, noise, and water, though conditions are generally reasonable.


Attendance
Adherence to company attendance standards is expected.


Safety
Compliance with company safety standards is required, including the safe operation of heavy machinery.


FLSA Status
