Job Summary

The IT Support Technician is responsible for providing technical support and assistance to employees. This role supports hardware, software, network, and system related issues while ensuring timely resolution and maintaining a high level of customer service. The IT Support Technician assists with onboarding and offboarding processes, workstation setup, troubleshooting, system maintenance, and overall technology support to ensure business operations remain efficient and secure.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Provide technical support for desktops, laptops, printers, mobile devices, and other technology equipment.
  • Troubleshoot hardware, software, network connectivity, and system access issues.
  • Troubleshoot and assist with:
    • Workstations and laptops.
    • Barcode scanners and mobile devices.
    • Zebra and shipping label printers.
    • Warehouse packing and shipping stations.
    • Monitors, keyboards, and peripherals.
    • Basic networking and connectivity issues.
  • Install, configure, and maintain computer systems, applications, and peripherals.
  • Assist employees with password resets, account access, and user permissions.
  • Support onboarding and offboarding processes including equipment setup and recovery.
  • Monitor and respond to IT support tickets in a timely and professional manner.
  • Track, organize, and maintain inventory records, IT equipment, technology assets, and software licenses.
  • Assist with system updates, patches, and preventative maintenance.
  • Support Microsoft 365 applications including Outlook, Teams, OneDrive, and SharePoint.
  • Coordinate with the central IT and Software Engineering teams when escalation is needed.
  • Assist with maintaining network infrastructure including switches, wireless access points, and internet connectivity.
  • Ensure compliance with company IT policies, cybersecurity standards, and data protection requirements.
  • Document technical procedures, troubleshooting steps, and system changes.
  • Support warehouse or operational technology systems as needed.
  • Assist with phone systems, conferencing equipment, and remote access support.
  • Participate in IT projects, upgrades, and system implementations.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
