Genesis10 is currently seeking a Senior Programmer/Analyst (Google Cloud Platform) for a contract to hire position with a Regional Financial Institution located in Columbus, OH or Minneapolis, MN.
Compensation: $55.00 - $68.00 per hour, W2, based on experience and qualifications

Position Overview:
We are seeking a Senior Programmer/Analyst with Google Cloud Platform experience to support the development and ongoing enhancement of the Enterprise Payments platform. This role is a senior technical contributor responsible for the analysis, design, development, and support of cloud native payment applications hosted on Google Cloud Platform (Google Cloud Platform). The ideal candidate has strong hands-on development skills, experience working in agile teams, and the ability to independently deliver features while partnering closely with architects and business analysts.
Primary Responsibilities:
  • Analyze business and technical requirements and translate them into effective technical solutions
  • Design, develop, test, and maintain cloud native applications on Google Cloud Platform
  • Implement serverless and container based solutions using Cloud Functions, Cloud Run, and/or GKE
  • Develop asynchronous, event driven integrations using Pub/Sub
  • Build and maintain APIs using Apigee or Google Cloud Platform API Gateway
  • Design and manage data solutions using Cloud SQL, BigQuery, and Firestore
  • Write clean, maintainable, and well documented code following enterprise standards
  • Support application configuration, deployment, and automation using Cloud Build and Terraform
  • Monitor application health and troubleshoot issues using Cloud Monitoring, Cloud Logging, and Error Reporting
  • Participate in incident, problem, and change management processes
  • Provide production support, including scheduled on call rotation
  • Collaborate with cross functional teams to ensure timely delivery of features and fixes
  • Support testing activities including unit, integration, and regression testing
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of development practices, performance, and security

Core Requirements:
  • 5+ years of experience in application development or systems analysis roles
  • 2+ years of hands on experience developing solutions on Google Cloud Platform
  • Strong proficiency in JavaScript/TypeScript, Node.js, or Python
  • React required
  • Experience building RESTful APIs and event driven integrations
  • Experience with relational databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL) and NoSQL data stores
  • Hands on experience with:
    • Cloud Functions, Cloud Run, or GKE
    • Pub/Sub messaging
    • Cloud SQL and/or BigQuery
    • Google Cloud Platform IAM fundamentals
  • Experience using CI/CD pipelines and Git based repositories
  • Strong problem solving, analytical, and communication skills
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience

Desired Skills:
  • Experience supporting payments or financial services applications
  • Familiarity with payment processing concepts (ACH, debit/credit cards, Zelle, bill pay, etc.)
  • Experience with Infrastructure as Code using Terraform
  • Experience working in regulated or compliance driven environments
  • Exposure to monitoring tools such as Splunk, Dynatrace, or Datadog
  • Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments
