Job description

Position Summary... What you'll do...As an Assistant General Manager, Distribution Center, you will play a critical leadership role in driving operational excellence across a fast-paced, high-volume supply chain environment. You will partner with the General Manager to lead facility operations, develop high-performing teams, and ensure the safe, efficient movement of merchandise to support Walmart stores, customers, and members.
This role requires a strategic and people-focused leader who can deliver results, champion continuous improvement, and foster a culture of safety, accountability, and inclusion. What You'll Do
  • Lead day-to-day distribution center operations to achieve goals related to productivity, quality, customer service, safety, and associate engagement.
  • Partner with facility leadership to develop and execute operational strategies that support business objectives and drive continuous improvement.
  • Monitor workload forecasts, staffing plans, and performance metrics to ensure resources are aligned with business needs.
  • Analyze operational and financial data to identify opportunities, improve efficiency, and deliver results against facility goals and budgets.
  • Promote a culture of safety and compliance by ensuring adherence to company policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
  • Build, develop, and coach salaried and hourly leaders, creating opportunities for growth, development, and succession planning.
  • Drive accountability through performance management, talent development, and recognition of individual and team achievements.
