The KE Desktop Systems Administrator internship will provide exposure to variousdesktop and administrative roles within KimballElectronics Shared Services.The intern willworkprimarily on desktop maintenance and support issues with the Endpointteam membersinKimball Electronics Shared ServicesinJasper, IN.

The projects will include such items as:

  • Build/wipe/maintain computers
  • Document and maintain assets
  • Assisting with support issues
  • Assist as backup to Support Center
    • KESC Support Mailbox
    • KESC Call Center
    • Process accounts as needed
  • Printer maintenance/management/troubleshooting
  • Assist with New User onboarding
  • Monitor, accept, and transfer support tickets and requests within FreshService
  • Recognize possible problematic trends and facilitate corrective action
  • Follow up with Level 2 Support on status of open issues to ensure resolution

Required qualifications:

  • High School Graduate pursuing a job in IT or a degree in IT or Computer Science
  • US Citizen or Legal Resident of the United States
  • Reside in Jasper area, or at least willing to commute to be "in office"

Preferred qualifications:

  • Strong organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills
  • Knowledge of PC imaging and deployment practices
  • Knowledge of Windows troubleshooting
  • Able to adapt to changesin environment
  • Ability to multitask and thrive in acollaborativeteam environment
