Job description

Position Summary...The Senior Manager, Site Merchandising – Meals will lead the digital merchandising strategy and execution for Walmart’s growing Meals business, with a focus on accelerating Fresh meals, Sushi, prepared foods, and broader meal solutions across the site and app.
This role will be responsible for bringing the Meals customer experience to life digitally — helping customers discover easy, convenient, and inspiring meal options while driving GMV, conversion, digital penetration, and customer engagement.
In addition to core Site Merchandising ownership for the Meals portfolio, this role will lead the strategy and execution for Meals Made Easy, own the acceleration of bundles, and represent Site Merchandising in Hypercare for all Meal Planning initiatives.   • Own the end-to-end site merchandising strategy for Fresh meals, Sushi, prepared foods, and related meal solutions across Walmart.com and the Walmart app.
  • Build and execute digital experiences that make meal discovery easier, more relevant, and more shoppable for customers.
  • Partner with merchants, operations, product, marketing, creative, analytics, and store teams to deliver a cohesive Meals experience.
  • Lead seasonal, event-based, and evergreen merchandising plans across key customer moments, including weeknight dinners, lunch, entertaining, holidays, and family meal occasions.
  • Use performance data to optimize placement, content, taxonomy, search, browse, and conversion across the Meals experience.
Meals Made Easy Strategy & Execution
  • Own the digital strategy and execution for Meals Made Easy, ensuring the experience is customer-first, operationally scalable, and commercially impactful.
  • Define priorities, roadmap needs, key metrics, and execution plans in partnership with cross-functional teams.
  • Identify opportunities to simplify the customer journey from inspiration to basket-building.
  • Continuously improve the experience based on customer behavior, business performance, and cross-functional feedback.
Bundles Acceleration
  • Own the acceleration strategy for Meals bundles, including curated meal kits, cross-category meal solutions, and add-on experiences.
  • Partner with merchant and product teams to identify bundle opportunities that drive AOV, conversion, and customer convenience.
  • Develop test-and-learn plans to improve bundle discoverability, attach rates, and basket conversion.
  • Track performance and share insights on bundle impact, including GMV, units, conversion, AOV, and customer engagement.
Meal Planning & Hypercare Representation
  • Represent Site Merchandising in Hypercare for all Meal Planning workstreams.
  • Partner closely with product, tech, analytics, and business teams to identify issues, prioritize fixes, and ensure launches are supported with strong merchandising execution.
  • Provide clear business feedback on customer experience, site functionality, and operational readiness.
  • Ensure Site Merchandising inputs are captured early and reflected in launch plans, testing, reporting, and post-launch optimization.
Recipe Hub & Recipe Merchandising
  • Partner with the Private Brands team to curate recipes for the Recipe Hub, ensuring content supports customer needs, seasonal moments, and broader Meals priorities.
  • Own Site Merchandising execution for recipe-led experiences across Walmart.com and the app, including placement, navigation, content updates, and performance optimization.
  • Connect recipes to shoppable solutions by partnering with merchants, product, and cross-category teams to improve ingredient discovery, basket-building, and conversion.
  • Build seasonal and event-based recipe plans tied to customer meal occasions, including weeknight dinners, holidays, entertaining, lunch solutions, and family meals.
  • Track recipe performance and identify opportunities to improve engagement, CTR, conversion, AOV, and attachment across recipe-driven shopping journeys.
Business Performance & Leadership
  • Own reporting and performance readouts for Meals digital merchandising initiatives.
  • Identify growth opportunities through customer insights, competitive trends, site analytics, and business performance.
  • Drive cross-functional alignment on priorities, timelines, and execution plans.
  • Develop and communicate clear recommendations to leadership with a focus on business impact.
  • Lead with urgency, accountability, and a strong bias for action.
Preferred Qualifications
  • 6+ years of experience in site merchandising, digital merchandising, eCommerce, retail, category management, product, or related fields.
  • Strong understanding of digital customer journeys, site experience, content strategy, and conversion optimization.
  • Experience working with Fresh, Grocery, Prepared Foods, Meals, or Food eCommerce preferred.
  • Proven ability to lead cross-functional initiatives across merchandising, product, marketing, analytics, operations, and technology.
  • Strong analytical skills with experience using data to drive decisions and measure business impact.
  • Comfort operating in fast-moving, ambiguous environments with multiple stakeholders.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to influence at different levels of the organization.
  • Customer-first mindset with a passion for building simple, helpful, and scalable experiences.
