Job description

JL Schwieters Building Supply Construction, Inc, is the industry's fastest growing lumber supplier. JL Schwieters is a complete component/pre-fab manufacturer and full building supply center. We manufacture roof and floor trusses, wall panels, stairs, fireplace/entertainment centers and many other pre-fab components. Our labor division performs the field install of these products.
We are seeking an experienced Maintenance Technician to help with our current growth! We currently have 4 buildings on campus that we maintain the equipment for. Our buildings contain new state-of-the-art equipment that will allow us to build more wall panels, floor panels and trusses.
Job description
Location: Hugo campus
Hours 6:00am-4:00pm Mon-Thursday
5:00am-3:00 pm Friday
  • Strong electrical aptitude required
  • Strong mechanical aptitude
  • Able to lift up to 50 lbs
  • Comfortable at heights
  • Work 10 hour shift
  • Adhere to company safety regulations

Responsibilities include preventative maintenance on our equipment and fixing/trouble shooting any breakdowns of our equipment, including PLCs. Light facility work, inventory and replacement of parts, conveyor maintenance, tool repairs, etc. All duties needed to minimize production downtime
Team atmosphere, cross training and training with other mechanics (day & night shift)
Associate's degree in Mechatronics, Electrical, Mechanical, or Manufacturing engineering OR equivalent technical certificates OR 2+ years of experience.
