Job description

Forklift Operator

We are looking for skilled candidates with excellent attention to detail for the position of Forklift Operator. Forklift Operators are responsible for optimizing loads to ensure operational efficiency, accommodating production needs, managing inventory by utilizing tablet with scanning device, and among other duties.

Principle Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Identify and report faulty equipment, damages, and safety concerns to Supervisor immediately.
  • Load and unload products from trailers using forklift trucks and other material handling equipment.
  • Store the products in proper places in warehouse.
  • Safely handle product when pick, put-away, etc
  • Monitor and maintain accurate inventory.
  • Clean work area and equipment regularly by removing empty pallets, wood and plastic.
  • Follow company standards and legal regulations to ensure safe and positive work atmosphere.
  • Maintain forklift equipment by performing routine pre and post inspections.
  • Maintain material handling equipment by recharging, and cleaning.
  • Count assigned locations daily and report discrepancies to Supervisor.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Working Conditions:

This work is performed primarily in a warehouse environment, cold storage facility temp 10 to-10. Utilizing lift and scanner equipment. Able to lift to 50 pounds.
