Are you looking to gain hands-on experience and work outdoors this season? The Village of Lincolnwood’s Department of Public Works is hiring seasonal employees to assist with landscaping, maintenance, and public works operations.

Positions are available for up to six months, offering competitive hourly pay and a great team environment.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

(Experience in one of the following is required)

    • Mowing and landscaping
    • Branch chipping
    • Basic maintenance of vehicles
    • Building maintenance
    • Perform related duties and manual labor as assigned
    • Snow removal as needed

    Required Skills and Experience:

    • Ability to frequently lift and move up to 50 pounds
    • Possession of a valid driver’s license
    • Ability to maintain working relationships with co-workers
    • Ability to understand and follow oral and written instructions

    Hours & Wage: The starting rate for the position is $20.00 per hour. Work hours are 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., Monday through Friday. Lincolnwood residency is not required for this position. The duration of this position is expected to be 6 months or 1000 hours worked.
