Job description

HEAVY EQUIPMENT TECHNICIAN / MECHANIC
Central Texas Equipment (CTE) is a heavy equipment dealership in Pflugerville, TX. We sell and service equipment from the following manufactures: Terex, Dynapac, Manitex, Link-Belt, Bobcat, Sullair, Elliott, Genie, PM, Generac, Wacker, Atlas Copco and other lines.
RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Utilize technical skill to perform hydraulic and electrical test, also using computer programming for diagnostics and parameter settings
  • Analyze and utilize schematic diagrams, parts manuals and technical manuals
  • Takes advantage of all opportunities to attend schools and training sessions in order to upgrade technical competence
  • Consistently repair equipment in line with dealer and manufacturer's labor time guides
  • Complete required paperwork for time tracking and labor billing
  • Determine parts and outside materials to complete service
  • Notify Service Advisor upon completion of repairs
  • Provide excellent customer service
  • Must work well with other employees in a Team environment


JOB REQUIREMENTS

  • Must own a complete of hand tools
  • Must be reliable and be able to work unsupervised
  • Must be available to occasionally work overtime
  • Basic computer skills
  • Must have valid Driver's License, clean MVR, and background screen
  • Experience as a Heavy Equipment Technician required (Min of 3 years)
  • Ability to sit, stoop, kneel, push, climb, move, reach and work overhead, lift up to 90 lbs. and work in all weather conditions
