Job description

The individual selected for this position will support the US media strategy, planning, and execution of paid media campaigns by Reputational Marketing & Insights (RMI).
The work will challenge you to be resourceful, think big while staying connected to the details, translate data-driven insights into strategic recommendations, and embrace a high degree of change and ambiguity at speed. The scope and scale of what we strive to achieve is immense, but it is also meaningful and energizing.
Key job responsibilities
Reputation Marketing & Insights (RMI) is hiring a Media Manager to develop and execute paid media campaigns to educate key audiences about important public affairs issues relevant to Amazon's brand

The individual selected for this position will support paid advertising programs with global impact within Amazon's Communications and Corporate Responsibility organization. The work will challenge you to be resourceful, think big while staying connected to the details, produce data-driven insights and recommendations, and embrace a high degree of change and ambiguity at speed.
Working with research, creative, measurement, and public policy teams - as well as external agency partners - you will manage holistic media planning and execution for several key global reputation initiatives per year based on real-time business needs. You will independently manage day-to-day campaign operations and optimizations (via agency partners), while collaborating with leadership and cross-functional stakeholders on strategic direction

You will balance competing priorities such as speed-to-market vs. sophistication, or reach vs. frequency goals.

You will deploy your understanding of paid media and your knowledge and curiosity of the public affairs landscape to build media plans, identify key optimizations, and ensure that campaigns deliver on their objectives. You will be accountable for campaign performance metrics including awareness lift, message association, and cost efficiency. You will identify opportunities to create scalable processes and best practices for reputation marketing campaigns.

You will help develop mechanisms to measure and communicate campaign effectiveness to senior stakeholders. And you will partner closely with other product experts throughout the company to build the next generation of industry-leading media buying tools.
A day in the life
As a Media Manager, you will:
Write comprehensive media briefs that align public affairs objectives with marketing strategies (e.g., economic impact, small business, technological innovation, customer experience)
Oversee agency partners' day-to-day campaign management
Collaborate with internal partners (e.g., research, creative, measurement, and public policy counterparts) to develop campaign strategies that educate and build trust with key global audiences
Interpret insights from data in ways that can be actioned quickly and nimbly
Educate internal and external stakeholders of varying technological and marketing backgrounds about paid marketing strategies and tactics
Jointly developing and executing a product roadmap for brand and reputational buying tools in the Amazon demand-side platform.
About the team
Our team strives to identify the persuasive return on investment for every dollar we spend. We build marketing plans that persuade our core audiences through best-in-class media tactics and measurement methodology that enables us to optimize towards the principles and platforms that achieve real-world outcomes at the expense of those that don't.
Our team is dedicated to supporting new members

We have a broad mix of experience levels and tenures, and we're building an environment that celebrates knowledge sharing and mentorship. We care about your career growth and strive to assign projects based on what will help each team member develop into a better-rounded marketer and enable them to take on more complex tasks in the future.
