Complete Description:
Seeking an experienced VMware VCF & SRM Engineer to design, implement, and manage VMware Cloud Foundation (VCF) and Site Recovery Manager (SRM) solutions. The ideal candidate will have expertise in software-defined data centers (SDDC), disaster recovery planning, and VMware automation tools. This role requires hands-on experience in deploying, configuring, and maintaining VCF environments while ensuring business continuity through effective disaster recovery solutions with SRM.
Responsibilities:VMware Cloud Foundation (VCF):
• Design, deploy, and manage VMware Cloud Foundation (VCF) environments.
• Configure and optimize vSphere, vSAN, NSX, and vRealize Suite within SDDC.
• Implement lifecycle management, upgrades, and patches using VMware SDDC Manager.
• Automate deployment and management tasks using PowerCLI, vRealize Automation, Terraform, or Ansible.
• Troubleshoot performance and operational issues within the VCF stack.
• Ensure security best practices and compliance across virtualized environments.
VMware Site Recovery Manager (SRM):
• Design and implement disaster recovery (DR) solutions using VMware Site Recovery Manager (SRM).
• Configure and manage vSphere Replication and storage-based replication.
• Develop and maintain DR runbooks and failover/failback procedures.
• Conduct periodic disaster recovery testing and validation.
• Optimize SRM configurations for high availability and minimal downtime.
• Integrate SRM with cloud-based DR solutions (VMware Cloud on AWS, Azure Site Recovery).
• Monitor and troubleshoot SRM-related issues, ensuring DR readiness.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
• 5+ years of hands-on experience with VMware technologies, including vSphere, NSX, vSAN, SRM, and vRealize Suite.
• Experience with VMware Cloud Foundation (VCF) and SDDC.
• Strong understanding of software-defined networking (SDN) and storage (SDS) concepts.
• Expertise in disaster recovery planning, SRM, and replication technologies.
