Job Summary:
Alpha Consulting Corp. is seeking a results-driven Vmware / Virtualization / Cloud Architect with extensive experience in managing and optimizing virtualization and cloud environments globally. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing the vRA and VCD environment, designing and implementing IaaS solutions, and serving as a subject matter expert in various cloud technologies.
Responsibilities:
• Oversee and manage the vRA and VCD environment globally.
• Administer the Client environment and troubleshoot the vRA/VCD environment.
• Create new endpoints as a landing zone for vRA and deploying new vORGs in VCD.
• Utilize strong knowledge of Java Scripting to enhance and customize vRA.
• Design, script, implement, and manage an IaaS Solution (VM Creation tool) on a Client Environment.
• Serve as an Automation Engineer for vRA, vRO, vCenter API, and SDK.
• Use Java Script, Rest APIs, PowerShell, and Git to facilitate automation of operations-related tasks.
• Act as a Client Subject Matter Expert (SME) for vRA7.x, vRO7.x, VCD, Client Converter, vCenter, vSphere, NSX-T, and PowerCLI.
• Implement and test VRA 7.x environment upgrades, including tenant and fabric groups design and configuration.
• Collaborate with team members to implement VM creation and deletion workflows in vRO.
• Work extensively with vRA and vRO to implement various production and non-production proof of concepts (POCs) for blueprints and workflows.
• Deploying and managing Azure Client services (AVS) and Azure NetApp Files (ANF) through the Azure portal.
• Deploying and managing Client Cloud on AWS and Amazon FSx for NetApp ONTAP through the Amazon Web Services portal.
• Deploying and managing Google Cloud Client Engine and Google Cloud NetApp Volumes on the Google Cloud Platform portal.
Qualifications:
Required:
• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
• 6 years of experience in IT architecture planning, including a minimum of 3 years in a leadership or managerial role.
• Extensive experience in vRealizeAutomation (vRA), vRealizeOrchestrator (vRO), VMware Cloud Director (VCD), NSX-T.
• Strong knowledge of Client environment administration.
• Proficiency in Java Scripting, Rest APIs, and PowerShell scripting.
• Experience with IaaS solution design and implementation.
• Client certifications in vRA, vRO, VCD, or related technologies.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
• Excellent leadership and team management skills.
• In-depth understanding of enterprise architecture frameworks and methodologies.
• US citizenship due to working in export controlled and non-export controlled environments.
• Prior work experience at client or in client's industry.
• Applicants must be able to work directly for Artech on W2.
Preferred:
• Advanced engineering degree in a relevant field.
• Experience with vRealizeOrchestrator (vRO), vRealizeAutomation (vRA), and VMware Cloud Director (VCD).
• The ability to comprehend complex cloud environments.
