And throughout Westchester County
Pay Rate: $17.00 per hour
Hours: Flexible Hours Average of 4 to 12 hours a week. Varies
OVERVIEW OF PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
The Access-VR Community Based Worker, through the Access VR Work Experience, will obtain real work experience for up to a total of 320 hours. This position is only open to Acces-VR referrals.
PRIMARY FUNCTIONS:
The work experience will occur in a community setting. Responsibilities will be dependent on tasks assigned in the community placement. Workers will have the opportunity to network in business environments consistent with their employment goal. The Worker will engage with their assigned Vocational Counselor and work together to set up the work experience, facilitate with monitoring their progress, and make the arrangements for completion of required paperwork with the employer to receive up to 320 hours of paid work experience.
ADDITIONAL FUNCTIONAL / ORGANIZATIONAL SUPPORT:
  • Worker will receive support from their Vocational Counselor

QUALIFICATIONS AND ATTRIBUTES:
  • Must be an Acces-VR referral

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
  • Must have Acces-VR Work Development and Community Work Experience referrals
