Job description

Summary:

This role is responsible for originating, shaping, and accelerating AIenabled new business opportunities by engaging with emerging technology companies and startups across Aerospace & Defense, Consumer Electronics, Robotics, and AIenabled physical systems.

The role operates as the frontend owner of earlystage opportunities and leads a crossfunctional SWAT team-including product line management (PLM), technical service engineering (TSE), and internal fastresponse engineering teams-to convert highpotential ideas into rapid prototypes, samples, and early design wins.

Success requires a strong entrepreneurial mindset, deep collaboration, and the ability to operate at startup speed while leveraging enterprisescale capabilities.

Essential Functions:
  • Identify and qualify AIdriven startups and emerging technology companies across: Aerospace & Defense (autonomy, sensing, EW, radar, secure compute), Consumer Electronics (edge AI, AR/VR, wearables, nextgen compute), Robotics & Automation (humanoids, AMRs, industrial robotics, perception) and AIenabled physics and hardwaresoftware codesign platforms
  • Anticipate technology inflection points where advanced printed circuit board (PCB) materials, stackups, and manufacturing capabilities become critical enablers
  • Build and manage a structured opportunity pipeline with clear valuecreation hypotheses
  • Identify and activate the most effective engagement channels, including: Direct founder / CTO relationships, Venture capital and corporate venture ecosystems, Incubators, accelerators, and universityaffiliated labs, OEMs, EMS partners, and advanced PCB design houses
  • Position the company as a codevelopment partner, not just a materials supplier
  • Represent the company at startup demo days, technical forums, and ecosystem events
  • Lead deep VOC collection with startup engineering and architecture teams
  • Translate systemlevel needs into PCB and material requirements, Stackup, SI/PI, thermal, and reliability implications and inputs to new product and application roadmaps
  • Provide structured VOC feedback to PLM, R&D, and engineering leadership
  • Partner with a crossfunctional SWAT team consisting of: Product Line Management (PLM), Technical Service Engineering (TSE), Engineering,and Operations team members
  • Enable compressed prototyping and sampling cycles, including: PCB design support and reference designs, rapid material sampling and iteration, close coordination with fabs and partners 
  • Partner closely with Application Development Managers  (ADM) and PLM to: align startup engagements with longterm product platforms and distinguish scalable opportunities from oneoff requests
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Science or related field.   May consider equivalent work experience in lieu of degree.
  • 5+ years in new business development, sales or marketing, product management or advanced applications engineering.
  • Experience working with startups or emerging technology ecosystems as well as exposure to advanced electronics, PCB, materials or hardware systems.
  • Travel:  Up to 50%
