Job description

Wisconsin Kenworth is seeking a talented individual for the Vice President position! This position is ideal for those with a college degree in business or related field, have years of experience in sales management with leadership skills, and have the willingness to travel and work in multiple locations. Responsibilities:
  • Responsible for the development and performance of all sales and operations activities in area of responsibility as defined by CSM Companies Inc.
  • Provides leadership towards the achievement of maximum profitability and growth in line with company vision and values
  • Establish plans and strategies to expand the customer base in the marketing area and contributes to the development of training and educational programs for customers and Sales Representatives

Primary Duties:
  • Sets goals, targets, and budgets for all sales and operations activities
  • Initiates plans and sales strategies that ensure attainment of CSM Companies, Inc. quotas as well as company sales and profitability goals
  • Supervises, motivates, and monitors sales performance for all departments
  • Directs and assists Branch Managers in recruiting and training sales staff
  • Approves action plans for individual sales representatives for effective search of sales leads and prospects
  • Approves assignment of sales territories and individual accounts to sales representatives
  • Sets standards for sales proposals and presentations and monitors adherence to those standards
  • Develops and monitors pricing strategies to maximize margin and sales volume
  • Maintains relationships with key customers
  • Participates in sales calls and presentations as required
  • Negotiates pricing and sales allowances with vendors on major purchases
  • Monitors sales call reports submitted by sales representatives
  • Maintains detailed knowledge of the company's products
  • Keeps abreast of competitors' products and activities
  • Controls inventories and expenses to meet budget guidelines
  • Provides leadership which fosters proper cooperation between all departments
  • Provides timely feedback on sales and profit performance to the Executive Committee
  • Communicates and monitors adherence of all company policies, procedures and business ethics codes with all departments

Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Business or related field; further education preferred
  • Seven to ten years of experience in sales management with proven leadership skills
  • Experience with medium and heavy-duty truck applications and markets
  • Extensive experience in all aspects of Supplier Relationship Management
  • Strong understanding of selling techniques required for high-dollar value technical products
  • Willingness to travel and work in multiple locations
  • Demonstrated strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Management skills to include strategic plan development, decision making abilities and program implementation
  • Supervisory skills to include the ability to coach, train and motivate subordinates to reach established goals
  • Ability to demonstrate or display extensive product knowledge to customers and staff to assist with purchase decisions
  • Basic computer skills
  • Ability to prioritize and process multiple projects simultaneously
  • Ability to establish and meet standards and deadlines for self and others
